SeamSites began in Manchester in 2025. Lazaros found the first clients by going door to door, walking into small businesses and speaking directly with their owners. Each conversation began with what the owner needed help with. That is still how we start today.
Manchester’s worker bee stands for hard work and unity. We started locally, by listening to people and doing work that made their day a little easier.
02 The practical work
Make the useful things work.
He repaired websites that hadn’t been touched in years and built new ones for businesses that had never had one. Alongside them, he set up booking systems and custom tools to help owners and employees work more efficiently.
These tools were designed around the way each business operated: making everyday tasks easier, giving owners better oversight and control, and helping staff deliver a consistently good service. For appointment-based businesses, that included managing availability and taking bookings.
Useful work can also mean giving something existing a new purpose—a familiar idea in a city that keeps finding new uses for its historic buildings.
03 What we learned
The care was already there.
Lazaros began to notice a pattern. Once a website worked properly, more people found the business, took it seriously and chose it. Often, the website had simply stopped letting the business down.
A business carries its owner’s personality, care and passion. Its website should feel like stepping through the same front door, giving people anywhere in the world a sense of what makes that business special.
For Lazaros, the most rewarding part is hearing those stories: why someone started, what they care about and how they see their business. Our role is to listen closely, then bring our expertise in tech, marketing and design to create an online presence that feels true to that vision.
The textile makers’ story is another reminder to keep the people and skill behind the work in view.
04 Why the team grew
One discipline wasn’t enough.
Working properly became the starting point. Each site also needed research behind it, a look of its own and features that fitted the way the business ran.
People who understood markets and audiences joined, alongside designers who could make a business recognisable at a glance. This is where the story stops being about Lazaros and starts being about us: tech, marketing and design, working together.
The University of Manchester’s history connects learning with practical invention. Our work also starts with questions: what does a business need, and how can we build it well?
05 Where we are now
Further apart. Just as personal.
Knocking on doors could only take us so far. Today we work with hospitality, real estate, and independent businesses and trades across the UK, Greece, France, Romania, Spain, Turkey and the UAE. Manchester is still our base.
The viaduct is part of a city shaped by connections. Our own map grows one business at a time, and we take pride in every new neighbourhood and country we work in.
The streets are further apart now, but we still start by talking to whoever runs the place.
Our values
Understand before choosing.
We start with how the business runs, who it serves and what gets in the way. A feature earns its place by answering a real need, whether that is taking bookings or making information easier to find.
Bring three perspectives.
Tech makes the site reliable and builds the features it needs. Marketing considers the audience and what will help people choose the business. Design gives that understanding a recognisable form. Each makes the others’ work better.
Make the care visible.
Good design should feel recognisable to the owner and welcoming to new customers. We pay attention to both the character people see and the tools they use.
Learn each place.
Our international team brings different languages and perspectives. What feels trustworthy in one place may not carry over to another. A new neighbourhood or country is a reason to listen closely, understand the audience and give the work the same attention.

Lazaros Thomopoulos
Founder & Lead Developer
Lazaros came to web design the long way round, through town planning, real estate and hospitality. Planning taught him to see a place through the eyes of the people using it, and he now asks the same of every website. He spent more than six years in hospitality, from Soho House to Medlock Square, and taught himself to build websites along the way. He founded SeamSites in Manchester in 2025 and specialises in UI/UX, WebGL and AI integration.

Anastasia looks at every project from two sides: how it should look and who it needs to reach. She studies marketing at the University of Manchester and has experience as a professional digital designer. Years in hospitality across several countries taught her that what feels trustworthy in one place doesn’t always carry over to the next. At SeamSites she leads research, copywriting and SEO, and drives client relationships and growth.
Baia sees websites the way an architect sees buildings: as spaces people move through. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Design in Madrid and has a deep passion for architecture and digital illustration, which shows in the structure and detail of her work. Now based in Barcelona, she leads design at SeamSites, turning each business’s research and story into a look that feels unmistakably its own.
