This notice covers enquiries, consultation bookings and visits to the SeamSites website. It explains what information is used, why it is needed and how to exercise your rights.

Information you give us
The consultation form asks for your name, email address, business name, sector, reason for contacting us, selected service and answers about your website needs. You may also provide a phone number, website address and project notes. If the live calendar is unavailable, you may give a preferred date, time and time zone. We also retain your correspondence and a submission reference.
Google’s booking page collects your name, email address and appointment choice to arrange the call. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive the details you share through that channel. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
Why we use it
- Enquiries and consultations: to understand your request, reply and arrange the conversation. Where you are considering a contract with us personally, the basis is taking steps at your request before a contract. For business representatives and general enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us.
- Website delivery and protection: technical information such as IP address, browser information and request logs may be processed by the hosting and spam-filtering services to deliver the website and prevent misuse. The basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website.
- Legal requests: information may be used where necessary to comply with an applicable legal obligation.
Fields marked required let us understand the request and contact you. You can use the direct email or telephone options instead of the form.
Services that handle information
- Netlify: hosts the website, receives and stores submitted forms, and is configured to send enquiry notifications to our business email. Netlify uses Akismet to filter form spam.
- Google: provides our business email and the Calendar/Meet consultation booking service. Booking opens on Google’s website only when you select its link. Details entered there are handled by Google and shared with the consultation organiser.
- WhatsApp: if you choose the WhatsApp contact link, your conversation takes place through WhatsApp under its own privacy terms. No WhatsApp widget is loaded on this website.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Their published processing terms describe safeguards, including contractual transfer protections where applicable. How long enquiries are kept
Our enquiry-retention period is six months after the last contact. This covers enquiry submissions, associated correspondence and consultation records. If you become a client, records needed for the project will be handled under the information supplied for that engagement. A specific legal obligation or active dispute may require relevant records to be kept for longer; they must not be used for unrelated purposes.
Marketing, tracking and AI
The current form does not subscribe you to marketing. No analytics scripts, advertising pixels or additional visitor tracking are installed. The form’s prewritten brief suggestions are ordinary templates; they do not send your notes to an AI provider. No automated decision is made about accepting you as a client.
Cookies and browser preferences
The website remembers your privacy choice in browser storage. Optional appearance preferences and the space animation’s position are saved only if you accept appearance storage. These values contain no enquiry details. You can accept, reject or manage optional storage in the cookie bar, and change your choice or clear appearance values on the Cookies & settings page. System reduced-motion preferences are respected regardless of that choice.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive eligible information in a portable format. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Contact us using the details above. We may need information to verify your identity and will explain any lawful limitation that applies. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
